Every bougie bakery has a heartbeat, and ours is Ericka — the woman who can turn butter, sugar, and a little bit of attitude into pure luxury.
She didn't learn to bake from a cookbook . She learned in her grandmother's kitchen, standing on tiptoe, watching magic happen in real time. Those early days weren't just about desserts — they were about legacy, love, and learning that food could heal in ways words never could.
Life took her away from baking for a while, but in 2017, the oven warmed back up. What started as therapy became a sanctuary — a place to breathe, rebuild, and rediscover joy. Every batch was a moment of peace. Every recipe was a conversation with the grandmother who taught her everything.
Then came 2018 — and with it, love. By 2022, Ericka was married, and her husband proudly stepped into his role as Chief Taste Tester, hype man, and the first person to declare, "Babe… that's bougie." If it doesn't pass his taste test, it doesn't leave the kitchen.
By 2024, her therapeutic baking evolved into a brand. And even through two major back surgeries to date, she kept rising — literally and figuratively. Strength, resilience, and a whole lot of bougie energy pushed Just a Little Bougie Bakes into the spotlight.
Today, Ericka is the baker who mixes legacy with luxury, healing with hustle, and love with every decadent bite. She's the woman who turned pain into passion, passion into a business, and a business into a bougie community that keeps growing.
